Noir are a Jazz, Blues and Soul collective who play everything from Bill Withers, Blackstreet, to Etta James - Available as a 3, 4 or 5 piece with keyboard, bass/double bass, guitar and drums.
The front woman Georgia Black kicked off her professional singing career fronting Agent Provocateur's couture meets punk showband Dirty Stop Out. Working in the outfit with The Clash's Mick Jones and AP's Joe Corre, she toured the UK and Europe playing to crowds of up to 50,000 spectators.
Since then Georgia has been involved in innovative projects such as Punchdrunk's production of The Drowned Man – an immersive theatrical show that saw attendance of everyone from Adele, Prince Harry, Madonna to Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul. She has also collaborated with numerous top-drawer producers, including Guy Chambers and Aamir Yaqub on her own material, which she has showcased in ventures like Sofar Sounds, and supporting Omar at Manchester’s Band on The Wall.
Georgia is also lucky enough to have the backing of some phenomenal musicians! All highly skilled, between them having played at Glastonbury, Ronnie Scott’s, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House (Cork), Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Benicassim, The Life Ball Festival (Vienna), KoKo (Camden), Rough Trade, London Fashion Week, Berlin Fashion Week, The Arts Club (Mayfair), The Arts Club (Liverpool), The Good Life Experience, Made In America Festival, Barn On The Farm Festival, LIMF Festival, Green Man Festival, Glass Butter Beach Festival, Sundown Festival, Sound City Festival, and The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall… To name a few…
